The Preston House & Hotel is a turn-of-the-century 1905 historical home on Long Island which has been restored and transformed into a 20-room boutique hotel and 88-seat American restaurant. Located in downtown Riverhead on Long Island, the house was once owned by Henry H. Preston, the first salaried sheriff of Suffolk County. Restorations at The Preston House & Hotel include modern upgrades, including a focus on sustainability and refinement in every detail.
The Preston House restaurant features an approachable, dining and drink menu in an ambiance that’s at once cutting edge and historical. Serving farm seasonal, ingredient-driven, and flavorful fare, our restaurant takes a balanced and traditional approach to food, with innovative cocktails and an adventurous wine list completing our tasty options.
The Preston Hotel, a 20-room boutique hotel located directly behind the house, features studios and suites, making it a point to provide intimate and unparalleled service to each of our guests. Our spacious guest rooms feature modern furnishings, Carrera marble bathrooms, and honed, concrete floors that add a touch of industrial chic.
Timeless opulence meets art deco in the historic Howell House, located on our neighboring property. Each suite and studio offer elegant linens, gilded marble bathrooms, lavish bathrobes and ROAM signature collection bath products.
